Description
Castor oil with CBD (Ricinus Communis Seed Oil) is one of the oldest known plant oils and has been used for thousands of years – from ancient Egypt to traditional use in Asia. Today, castor oil is widely used in cosmetics due to its moisturizing, nourishing, and protective properties.
The oil is 100% certified organic virgin oil, produced by cold pressing Ricinus Communis seeds. During processing, the naturally occurring toxic enzyme ricin is deactivated, making the oil safe for daily cosmetic use. The product contains no colorants, preservatives, parabens, or GMOs.
Castor oil's unique fatty acid composition, dominated by ricinoleic acid, makes it particularly suitable as a natural moisturizer that reduces moisture loss through the outer layer of the skin. Its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties make it suitable for skin prone to blemishes and as an aid in minor wound healing processes. The oil is also often used in decorative cosmetics such as lip gloss, lipstick, and mascara.
As a carrier oil, castor oil is ideal for diluting essential oils before topical use. Due to its thick and heavy consistency, it is recommended to mix it with a lighter carrier oil. It can be used alone or in blends, depending on the purpose.
Castor oil can be used to care for hair, scalp, eyebrows, and eyelashes. It can be applied directly or used as a natural, homemade serum, e.g., in an empty mascara container. For hair care, the oil can be massaged into the scalp and left to work for at least one hour or overnight.
